What is Robotomail?

Robotomail is managed email infrastructure purpose-built for AI agents. Developers provision mailboxes via API or CLI, and agents send and receive email autonomously. Every mailbox gets a real email address with full send and receive capability — no shared inboxes, no forwarding hacks, no UI required.

Why we built this

AI agents need an address for incoming requests, a way to reply and access to the conversation so far. We wanted to connect those pieces without operating a mail server or tying every workflow to a teammate's personal inbox. Robotomail gives each workflow a dedicated mailbox that developers can provision and operate through an API. Your application decides what the agent can do; Robotomail handles the email infrastructure.

How it works

Robotomail is API-first. One POST request creates a mailbox. Another sends an email. Inbound messages arrive via webhooks in real time — no polling required on your end. Under the hood, we run production mail servers with JMAP and SMTP, handle DNS configuration for custom domains (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and store messages and attachments durably. You get the deliverability of a proper mail server without managing one.

Robotomail is built by John Joubert and bootstrapped from the ground up. No venture funding, no bloated roadmaps — just a focused product solving a real problem for developers building with AI agents.
